There are few MMO game I have played and all of them never last more than a year then I move on to next one, FF11 is just a exception it is since 5th anniversary this November >.>

My first MMO game was Diablo2, not really sure if it counts as MMO but it was first time I play game over internet and meet a lot of people. Probably the first time I bought legit software in my life too lol, I think I start play it a little while before they released the Lord of Destruction expansion. I have few level 95-97 character, Javelin Amazon who used to freeze my game sometime if I throw lightning spear into massive cows in cow level -_-, Nova Sorceress, Hammerdin, got bored and never reach max level on any character. Then I migrated to UO – Ultima Online with few of my friends who stick with me a long the way to FF11.

Ultima Online was really fun for me, we play on private shard (server) called Multi Player Zone (MPZ) which changed name to Burst Fire (BF) sometime after. I start UO with spent almost an hour trying to have a conversation with NPC who I thought he was PC, asked him what to do and how to get out this entry area as you would expect, he never answer me with helpful information beside random hello, howdy and stuff. Fortunately someone ran by me and ask why I keep talked to NPC and show me how to exit. From a newbie who spar with a cat and dog inside town to grandmaster of 10 skills and won seasoned PvP tournament (I got dyed shrinked llama and fancy custom cloak for reward -_-) getting a lot of friends along the way and still keep in touch with them, really really good time. I eventually got bored because there are nothing left to do in UO beside chit chat in game (which I can do it on IRC because all of them who play the game always online in IRC room anyway) and some PvP session, I have to say MPZ UO have really balanced PvP and fun PvP system though. So I started the new game which get popular here, Ragnarok Online. I’ll talk about my time in UO later because like I said, it was really really good time.

Ragnarok Online was uh, interesting. Back when there was not much hacking and botting in game, it is fun but later game turn to basically shit. Botting (when I refer to botting in RO it means some sort of AFK exping using 3rd party tool) is fine in my book as long as you set your bot not attack everyone on sight and teleport after, unfortunately it is common to set bot to attack monster that already been attacked by someone else and steal their exp then teleport to next one and repeat. That make environment in game really the worst, but having that said I still managed to have a LV99 character with 2 level 97 characters without any usage of bot, probably speaks for addiction I have in this game very well. After I got frustlated about game environment I just stop log in for a while beside bi-weekly guild war to help my guild out, then old my friend who I met during UO age introduced me Final Fantasy 11.

Now I realize this post becomes ranting and history of my MMO game instead of what I intend to do when I start the post, better late then never right? Let’s stop derail the post and back to topic! I want to talk about friend I met during play Final Fantasy 11 who either quit or just disappear.

I miss our times playing together, but I have many good memories that I will never forget from that game. :)
