Lost In The Crowd

After I manage to get 2 Maroon Seal and another rare/ex item for it I move on to next tier NM in Hydra path, Iriz Ima.

Basically Iriz Ima is a big retarded marid with red eyes which happen to have slow movement speed and stupid pathing AI, so it is very easy to kite and nuke even without gravity on. I ask my friend Hellfire to help too since it is my first encounter with this NM and he want Avocat Pigaches that drop off NM so it benefits us both.

We kite it from pop location (J-8) to open area in I/J-8 and just trade off hate between nuke and kite after, nothing tricky. I think we use literally 3 MP pool to finish this NM off, I usually nuke until out of MP and rest first then Hellfire would kite him until I got full MP then me and him will trade off hate by nuke again until it dies, Hellfire usually have enough MP for few nukes during his solo kiting phase to pull this off, if not he just med and I’ll kite for a while until he get enough MP. I always warp BLM to change to THF after it get to 1% and while I’m changing job and running back I’ll always have gravity on the NM and occasionally bind to make it easier for Hellfire to solo kite the NM, we save gravity and bind during BLM duo nuke though since I have read it can build resistance against gravity and bind so might as well save it until it is necessary.

The drop was uh, bad I think? We got 1 Ferrara, 1Avocat Pigaches out off 3 pops, congratulation to Hellfire on his newly obtained Avocat Pigaches!. Consider getting pop item and the fight are very easy it wasn’t too bad, what pain left is getting zeni (usually take 3500-4000 zeni to buy tier1 and 2 pop item)

Here are few notes about this NM fight.

• BLM/NIN owns this retarded marid hardcore.
• Able to critical hit Tarutaru BLM/RDM for 300ish damage through his stone skin (from what I observed)
• Can land gravity for 9-10 times without any problem and don’t see shorten of duration after repeated use, might be building resist after more use but that was the most gravity I used in 3 fights.
• Stunable
• Kite it around the different terrain and it will amuse you.
• When it is bound, it keep shaking its head. Hellfire said because it is doing math while it was bound so his head is shaking, still need confirmation though!

Now I’m able to pop 3 3rd tier NM in Hydra path now if thing goes well I’ll get chance to do them with LS this Saturday and finally get hand on Tinnin pop item! so excite
